A group of 13 Knight and Dames from the Lieutenancy of Montreal has participated to the ceremonies of Good Friday at the shrine of Saint Padre Pio.

The Lieutenancy of Montreal warmly thanks the members for the donations that have made possible the purchase of the three paintings from the artist Ryan Octavius Ilinca. The proceeds will be used for the work of the Order in the Holy Land.


September 2, 2013

On the occasion of the forthcoming International Pilgrimage and meeting with Pope Francis on 13 September 2013, the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem – in agreement with the Vatican Mail’s Philatelic Office – requested the issue of a stamp celebrating the aforementioned event.

Inside the folder containing the stamp, you will find copies of the Prayer of the Knight in five languages and a short history of the Order.  The folder is available at the cost of 8 Euros.  All those interested can order the folder by contacting the Lieutenant.

On Wednesday, May 8th 2013, a conference on the Year of Faith was presented by His Excellency, Monseigneur Christian Lépine, at the Louis-Joseph Forget House, on Sherbrooke Street West in Montreal. About thirty members of the Lieutenancy of Montreal attended the event, as well as a representive of the Order of Malta and personal guests. The event was a clear success and ended with a fraternal agape in the former dining room of that historical house.

On Friday, April 26th 2013, our chancellor Mr. Jacques R. Tranchemontagne, K.G.O.H.S., received the medal of the National Assembly from the hands of Mister Daniel Goyer, member of the National Assembly for the riding of Deux-Montagnes, in recognition of his 40 years of community service in the fields of ecology, horticulture, and teaching. Our sincere congratulations for this well-deserved honour !
